In 1952, Robert T. Elliott started Foamcraft, Inc. in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis, IN. As a District Sales Manager for Firestone Foamex, he was tasked with opening several foam rubber distributors to move the newly invented material into industry.

After decades of crafting foam products for the furniture and bedding industries, Foamcraft, Inc. has grown to become one of the largest foam fabricators in the United States. It is still owned and operated by second and third generation members of the Elliott family and currently has five plants strategically located around the State of Indiana.

In 2017, Foamcraft, Inc. put a long standing vision into practice and started Comfort Option® to serve as a better way to buy a mattress.
