Something to look forward to. Right at home.
Along with the health benefits, consider sauna as the solution to a world that so often lacks connection. Whether its stress after a demanding day, recovery to take a breath after a workout, or a calm place to have real conversations with the ones you love, let sauna help you love being home.
A feel-good ritual with a growing body of research.
Cardiovascular Heath
Long-term studies have linked frequent sauna bathing with a lower risk of cardiovascular mortality rates, sparking interest in how heat affects heart health. Explore what the research reveals - and what those findings could mean for your routine.
Relaxation and Well Being
Research has measured changes in heart-rate variability after sauna bathing that suggest a shift toward the body's "rest and recover" state. Take a closer look at the science behind the post-sauna unwind.
Recovery and Comfort
Scientists are exploring how heat exposure affects soreness and recovery, with promising findings in some studies. Discover where sauna may fit into your recover routine - and why the type of heat, timing, and duration matter.
What researchers have found
A long-term Finnish study followed more than 2,300 middle-aged men and found that more frequent sauna bathing was associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular death. The findings have encouraged further research into the relationship between regular heat exposure and heart health.
Why the distinction matters
This was an observational study: it identified a connection, but could not prove that sauna use caused the lower risk. Other health and lifestyle factors may contribute, and results from one population do not necessarily apply to everyone.
What this means for your routine
Sauna may complement a healthy lifestyle. It does not
replace physical activity or treatment for a heart condition,
and these findings do not establish health outcomes for
a particular sauna model.

The science behind the unwind
In a study of a single sauna session, researchers measured changes in heart-rate variability during sauna bathing and the cooling-down period afterward. During recovery, the measurements suggested increased activity in the parasympathetic nervous system—the branch involved in resting and recovering.
Heat, then recovery
The heat itself is a physical stressor. The shift observed afterward helps explain why scientists study the recovery period as well as the time spent inside the sauna.
What this means for your routine
These short-term findings offer insight into the post-sauna
unwind. They do not establish that sauna treats anxiety
or guarantees lasting improvements in stress or sleep.

A promising area of research
Researchers are investigating how heat exposure after exercise affects muscle soreness and the return of physical performance. Some studies report benefits, while others find no improvement or less favorable results.
Different heat, different findings
A small study of infrared sauna reported reduced soreness and improvements in some recovery measures after resistance exercise. Those findings cannot automatically be applied to traditional saunas, which provide a different heat exposure.
What this means for your routine
A 2025 review found that evidence on post-exercise heat
and performance recovery remains mixed. The type of heat,
timing, duration, and exercise all matter, so faster
recovery should not be treated as a guaranteed benefit.
Not just physical wellness.
"Some of the best conversations I've ever had have been on that bench."
In a Sauna, conversations don't compete with a screen. In the quiet of the outdoors, a sauna can bring a new kind of togetherness to your home.
