We actually do from time to time, but it's usually around a special community event or local partnership. Typically, though, we don't do sales.
There are lots of reasons for this, but the main one is that we are NOT like the other mattress retailers. Since we personally make everything we sell (as evidenced here), we're able to provide a much higher quality mattress compared to other brands in our price range.
It's important to be aware that retailers always have their "original price" marked up to cover for discounts they offer during sales. We don't have that markup in our price, so we don't offer sales during traditional big shopping times like Labor Day and 4th of July.
Our mattresses, with an $1195 price point for a Queen, compare to mattresses that are sold for $2,200 at typical big-box mattress retailers. That's why they tend to offer $500 off "sales," and frankly, it's something we want no part in. We'd rather offer a high-quality mattress at a straightforward price year round.
2. Materials and Care
The Engineered IFR E-Z Cover is made of:
67.7% Polyester
12.4% Rayon
12.4% Sililca
6.2 % Mod-acrylic
1.3% Lycra
Each purchase is made to order which means your Comfort Option® shipment is packaged for a minimal amount of time. Your foam may look a bit compressed and wrinkly at first, but that will have no effect on performance of your items.
Most wrinkles in the mattress will come out with time. However, once the mattress is unrolled and has recovered for about two hours, you may need to unzip your cover and straighten things up a bit.
Simply unzip the cover, fluff out your layers and realign the foam dowels if needed! (Dowels are a uniquely crafted design to assist keeping the layers in place.)
Within those two hours, mattresses should be recovered enough to sleep on – in fact; use will help the foam come back to life quickly!
We do ask that inspect your package within 48 hours of receiving your shipment, so you can let us know if for any reason it didn’t arrive safe and sound! Therefore, we recommend unboxing your order within 48 hours of receipt.
If you are unable to check and inspect your package upon receipt, you assume all risk of any potential damage that may have occurred during shipping.
We always recommend making sure your Comfort Option® order is unboxed as soon as possible, so that your foam is not compromised.
Spot clean your cover only, we do not recommend removing your cover for any reason, even for washing.
Not at all, this is called oxidation! When foam is exposed to air and light it started to discolor. It may look ugly but it does not affect the quality, safety, or longevity of the foam.
3. Specs and Use
There are some results from our Comfort Test that could be at opposition to your stated preferences. For example, maybe you prefer firm mattresses but our Comfort Test recommended C-Ser-35, which is our softest construction possible. In this rare case, you likely also stated that you sleep on your side or stomach.
Our Comfort Test is designed to weight the answers to the test, meaning that from our research, a side or stomach sleeper would benefit more from a soft mattress, even if they think they prefer a firm mattress.
In this situation, we invite you to give our recommendations a try. We believe in our research, foam experience, and our Comfort Test. If we're wrong, which is certainly possible, we'll adjust as necessary.
You may have noted that we describe some of our foams as more “open celled”. What does that mean? Well, essentially, when you look closely at a piece of foam, you will notice that it is made up of interconnecting cells. When these cells are larger and semipermeable it is called an open celled foam. An advantage of these foam types is that they allow for better airflow and consequently sleep cooler. Conversely, when these cells are more tightly bound and closed off, they are considered to have a closed cell structure.
We have quite a few options when it comes to materials and mattress constructions and we’ve found that this can create a sort of “choice anxiety” for some of our customers.
In the end, we’re confident in our ability to make a mattress that is best suited for your body type, sleeping habits, and preferences, and we ask you to give our original solution a fair try, for enough nights to come to a well-informed conclusion. After that period, we’ll gladly go back to the drawing board and will do all that we can to make sure you love your new mattress.

We get this question all the time. Hypothetically, we can. However, we don’t, and there are good reasons not to. First of all, we try and avoid glue seams entirely. We don’t glue layers on top of layers because of the 30/90 Comfort Commitment. If we glued, then we wouldn’t be able to provide that sort of ongoing support and customization in the event that the mattress isn’t working.
Also, to do the half and half plan would not only require glue, but it would require glue that you would feel. This would require a glue seam right down the middle of the mattress, which would (at best) just feel like a hard line, but also leave the potential of breaking apart of over time.
Rather than doing the half and half plan, we promote compromise between the two partners sharing the mattress or moving to a Split King!
Our customization makes that more possible than other product lines, and our 30/90 Comfort Commitment provides the ability to change the mattress after the purchase to ensure we get it right.
Ultimately the temperature of your mattress is subjective.
Traditionally, there is a misconception that all foam mattresses sleep hot.
At Comfort Option® we do our best to avoid the common overheating. Typically, the temperature of the mattress can be regulated more effectively based on the materials used to make the mattress.

We warranty our products as stated with a TEN-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY, however we have reason to believe our mattress could last fifteen plus years.
Example: Based on our tests of 80,000 compressions, our 2.2lb (custom) mattress core loses less than 1% of it’s mattress height.
Not at all! From a functionality standpoint – box springs are designed to provide a solid foundational surface for mattresses.
For some, they are preferred to add height to a bedframe/ sleeping arrangement setup. There is no need to pair a Comfort Option® mattress with a box spring.
Any solid base or platform bed will suffice and not hinder the performance of your purchase.
However, please know that some metal frames and (boxsprings with actual springs) may have sharp surfaces. And physical damage to your mattress incurred by your setup is not considered covered under any manufacturer warranty.
4. Haven
We recommend unboxing your Haven within 48 hours of receipt. If you are unable to check and inspect your package upon receipt, you assume all risk of any potential damage that may have occurred during shipping.
We have selected fabrics that have contain performance cleanability. This means that all covers contain water and stain repellency, so many of the potential stains that are common in residential settings will be easy to wipe clean.
• Soils or Stains: use mild dish soap (such as Dawn or Ivory) and very warm water. Do not use harsh cleaners, solvents, or detergents.
• Hard-to-clean Spots: Use standard, household cleaners, a soft-bristles brush, and gentle agitation on any troublesome areas.
• Disinfecting: Phenolic disinfectants are the best choice for disinfecting Haven covers.
• Do not machine wash or dry the fabric, which could shrink or damage the cover.
Nope, all inner bags are the same!
We do not recommend removing the outer cover. Spot cleaning is recommended to preserve the cover and keep everything in great condition.
Remove the inner bags from the cover for easy transportation of Haven!
Yes, new covers are available for purchase.
5. Trials and Warranty
The 30/90 Comfort Commitment
We believe that we can do better than a typical, gimmicky mattress warranty. Being the actual manufacturer and retailer allows us to stand by our products and work with our you to ensure satisfaction and comfort.
How does it work?
We ask that you give your new, customized mattress a minimum of 30 nights of sleep.
Should you find that you are unhappy with the feel of your mattress after those 30 nights, we’ll work with you for an additional 90-day window. We will ship any new layers to your home so that you can rebuild your mattress allowing to change the feel of your mattress, for no additional cost.
We warranty our mattress as stated with a TEN-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY, however we have reason to believe our mattress could last fifteen plus years.
Example: Based on our tests of 80,000 compressions, our 2.8lb (custom) mattress core loses less than 1% of it’s mattress height.
What happens if you simply don’t like the mattress anymore, but you don’t realize it until after the trial period and your preferences don’t qualify for a warranty claim? What if you dog pees on your bed and you can’t bear the smell? What if you have back surgery and simply need a different level of comfort? With other companies, you just have to buy a whole new mattress.
Not with Comfort Option®. Our Forever Partnership provides options to continue to customize your mattress even after our 30/90 Comfort Commitment expires. Same goes for the Alpha’s trial period.
How?
You tell us what you want. New top layer, new core, new cover. Whatever.
You pay for the material at a remarkably fair price - especially compared to a new mattress.
We send you what you need and you reconstruct the mattress as needed. No expiration on this. It’s literally forever.
Consider the Alpha Mattress a simplified option to our custom mattresses option.
While we’d generally encourage all of our customers to consider the custom route for an array of reasons, the Alpha Mattress is a great option to suit individuals who are sure they know what they need and don’t anticipate needing to make adjustments to their mattress!
(Great for kids through college, and guest rooms!)
After you’ve selected one of three curated constructions; you have 30 Days to sleep on your mattress and decide if it’s the right fit for you.
If it’s not, you can choose to return.
Or, even better, if it’s not and you like us, we can assist you in purchasing an additional layer. (This is why going the custom route is highly encouraged - adjustments are already included in your purchase cost.)
Either way, you’ll find us easy to work with. We’ll always take care of you to provide sleep that fits you.
Try it for 30 Days, and let us know what you think!
