Only 16% of the population sleep this way.
Believe it or not, sleeping on your stomach is fairly uncommon.
That’s not to say it has no benefits. Some people report that it helped with their sleep apnea and reduced their snoring. However, it also tends to put stress on your neck and misalign your spine.

what does a stomach sleeper need in a mattress?
Balanced Support
Most stomach sleepers should avoid constructions that cause them to sink deep into their mattress. Generally, if you are a stomach sleeper, constructions that cradle create stress on the neck and back. The exact mattress you choose can vary and is dependent on individual taste. However, it is generally (though not always!) best to avoid that sink-into-the-mattress feel.
Where do I start?
Hybrid Foam
One of the best constructions we’ve found uses a combination of hybrid foams. This gives the foam the support you need, without feeling like a rock.
Balanced Support
Often we’ll blend this downwards towards an even firmer layer of a similar material or a traditional high resiliency foam. The latter construction would be geared especially towards those who really require the extra support.
Focus on Durability
Finally, as always, we suggest investing in a high-density conventional foam core to add durability to you mattress.
