18-10-35

from $975.00

The 18-10-35 uses two layers of responsive hybrid foam. A firmer layer on top, and a softer variation in the middle. This effectively adds firmness and support but maintains a certain level of pressure relief. It’s finished with one of the highest-density foam cores available on the market.

Mattress purchase includes free delivery and our 30/90 Commitment.

Meet the 18-10-35.

  • A distinctive foam that provides great pressure-relieving benefits, it also adds the firmness and support traditionally associated with this kind of medium/firm hybrid foam.

  • The softer version of Comfort Option’s Responsive options, placing this foam in the second layer of a construction provides medium support and maintains wonderful pressure-relieving benefits. Additionally, motion transfer is extremely limited from one side of the mattress to the other.

  • An additional 2" of Ventilated Rebound Foam adds the perfect balance of pressure relief and airflow, ensuring long-lasting, cooling comfort.

  • With a foam that’s 75% more dense than a typical foam mattress core, our 2.8 density foam core is built to last. The 35 IFD (which is the measurement of firmness) provides a medium-soft feel.

Density Means Durability.

Ever seen a foam mattress with a big, body-shaped indent in it? That’s almost all because of the use of low density foams. But it’s not just the top layers of the mattress that need high densiy foam.

Oftentimes, mattress manufacturers will use quality, high-density foam in the top layer or two of a mattress (the parts you feel), then opt to use low-density, cheap foam in the base layer of the bed in order to cut costs. As a result, a cheap, low-density base is almost always to blame for body impressions, not the top layers. The foam simply isn’t made to last and will collapse with very little use.

1.5-1.8 lbs/ft³
(Most Foam Mattress Cores)

Nearly all bed-in-box mattresses found online use foam with a core density in this range, and most of those are closer to the low end of the range. They may feel the same as higher-density foams because density does not equal firmness. They won’t always feel the same, though.

Over time, these foams will lose 35% of their firmness and 5% of their height.

In other words, they create body impressions and get softer faster than higher-density foams. But they’re far less expensive, which makes them very attractive to other mattress retailers, who hardly ever even tell you the density of the foam they use.

2.8 lbs/ft³
(Comfort Option Foam Core)

Comfort Option uses foam with a 2.8 density, a level quality that is unmatched by our competition. This foam is nearly twice as dense, and in our internal tests, performs nearly 5x better than 1.5 density foams in terms of height loss.

Over time, our foam only loses less than 20% of its firmness and less than 3% of its height.

We’re transparent with the foam we use and call our products “Honestly Crafted” for that reason. We use the most quality foams in the industry and therefore are excited to offer as much information about our specifications as we can.

What is KülKōte?

An advanced phase change material that regulates your temperature as you sleep. Available on all Comfort Option® mattresses.

Thermal Image Showing KülKōte's Effectiveness on a Mattress.

KülKōte is a Phase Change Material.

KülKōte is a water-based, polymer coating that uses micro-capsules that continually changes phases from liquid to solid in order to effectively manage heat energy. We spray it right onto the surface of the foam on the top layer of our mattresses, along with the surface of our SoftFlo® pillows.

We found Comfort Option through mattress review enthusiasts online — yes, that’s a thing — so we had no idea what to expect. Ian and the other folks we talked to were super nice and happy to take time to help us understand the products. Shipping was a breeze, and when we realized we needed a different layer, the company was very accommodating. They made appropriate suggestions and now we have a comfortable mattress that’s just right.
